| 48" x 48" acrylic on wood This painting represents to me the American psyche and all the physical manifestations that oscillate around it. Hugo is depicted as a crucified Santa Claus that represents the death of all innocence. Hugo is also represented as the naked man in the left foreground. He epitomizes the lazy, drunken fat American that has not even come close to reaching his potential in life as he grab asses the bikini clad neighbors wife. The child in the right foreground is a recurrent image in my paintings and it represents a reactionary child of god forced to deal with the violent and immoral days of our lives. The married couple in the front foreground are representative of the diseased American dream If you are interested in purchasing this picture and/or for pricing email cbs@carlberriensmith.com |
